Established in 1990, The Substation is Singapore's first independent contemporary arts centre. Working mostly with Singaporean artists, the gallery promotes experimentation, innovation and diversity through its programmes, while over the years it has welcomed diverse and challenging contemporary visual, performance and sound art.
