When it comes to mixed CDs, nothing beats the Fabric and Fabriclive series (not to mention Renaissance's and Defected's In the House). Without fail, whenever a new
release is out, I'll make a beeline to the record store to cop a copy. So I was pleased to find out that one of my favorite breakbeat souljas, the man who put the samba in drum 'n' bass, DJ Marky is due to release a Fabriclive 55 album that's coming out early next year.
But don't go expecting a blistering mix from the man: "My concept with CDs is very, very different to in a club - I don't want to make a banging, noisy CD. It's totally different," DJ Marky says.
Can't wait to cop this...
