Ultra Singapore returns in June with a new, over-the-top stage

Despite the small bits of drama that came along with the last two editions of Ultra Singapore, the big-time two-day electro music festival will successfully return for its third run on the long Hari Raya weekend of Jun 15-16. And they’re bringing with them the Ultra Worldwide stage direct from the bayfront of Miami.

There have been super over-the-top stages with dramatic adornments that follow the theme of a festival (Tomorrowland does amazing sets), ones that try to reflect Singapore’s identity (remember last year’s ZoukOut’s Merlion-esque main stage?), tentages for smaller sets… and then there’s this: Ultra’s sensational over-arching open stage concept.

This stage will provide festival-goers with a whole new experience, seeing how the entire rig will surround them from front to back to provide ground rumbling beats thanks to the latest audio setup (L-Acoustics K1 or K2 with SB28’s and ARCS for front fills) and mind boggling visuals that will stretch from the stage to the skies. This Worldwide Stage will play host to both up and coming and acclaimed Trap and Bass artists. There’ll still be the other three stages—the Ultra Main Stage for headlining acts, the Resistance Stage for deep house and techno lovers and a fourth stage that will feature local and regional acts (probably the same one that saw the likes of Jasmine Sokko, Sam Rui and Rich Brian (formerly known as Rich Chigga).

The line-up is still in the works, but if you’re already itching to go, you can get your tickets from $155 via Ultra Singapore’s website now. Check out what went down last year:
