German brewery and restaurant Paulaner now open at Clarke Quay

The latest offering to the beer scene is a brand most will know, but the new Paulaner Singapore Clarke Quay, which threw open its doors two weeks ago, sets itself apart from its sister establishment with a comprehensive Bavarian dining menu and more Paulaner’s beers on tap.
The vibe is also a tad more refined and less bar-like, which makes a great spot for catching up over a dinner. Must-try Bavarian staples include the crispy roasted pork knuckle ($32), half roasted chicken stuffed with fine herbs ($19), and the exclusively-made 60cm curry sausage ($26). There are also fresh water fish specialities like the pan-fried river trout fillet ($32) and fried carp fillet with pepper panko ($29). For desserts, order up the German-style handmade apple strudel ($14) as well as the beer-infused tiramisu.
Drinks-wise, the new Paulaner counts five draught beer: Original Munich Lager, Munich Dunkel, Hefe-Weissbier, Hefe-Weissbier Dunkel and Premium Pils (all $16 a pint except Premium Pils at $15 a pint). Also noteworthy are Paulaner beer cocktails like the Munich Sling and the Caibeeroshka (both $18).
