The Outpost Hotel Sentosa
Adults-only, upscale resort hotel with ocean views
This 193-room establishment in Sentosa is a balmy dream destination perfect for getaways. A first of its kind, only adults (13 and above) are allowed within its four walls, while allowing extended families room for flexibility thanks to adjoining sister property Village Hotel Sentosa.
Both hotels are sited within the same compound (Outpost is more upscale and features a more exclusive check-in experience), but share only a common pool floor and gym. There is more than one pool, including a lazy pool and one that is adults-only (with attached swim-up bar), which Outpost guests will greatly appreciate.
All rooms come with king sized beds, Hansgrohe rain showers, premium bath amenities, Nespresso machine, personalised minibar (you get to pick from a range of artisanal snacks and drinks) and a pillow menu. The only difference between the rooms at Outpost are the views.
We find the pool and ocean facing rooms to be the most coveted, especially if you're staying there as a couple. It's worth paying more for the right vantage, as you can enjoy daily sunsets, sunrises and even fireworks (thanks to a certain Sentosa attraction) from the comfort of your bed.
Be sure to check out Outposts' rooftop destination, 1-V:U (pronounced "one view") too. Also adults-only, find a day club, bar, restaurant and pool all in one place. Make a day of it by going for their bottomless Sunday brunch, all-day parties or simply have a dinner date at the restaurant.
It's nice that Outpost also makes you feel like you're miles away from Singapore thanks to its resort vibe, but close enough to civilisation (it's walking distance from Imbiah and Beach stations) so that all modern conveniences are within easy reach.
