Singapore International Storytelling Festival 2014

The ninth instalment of this annual storytelling festival brings renowned storytellers from Korea, India, Italy and the UK (including UK Storyteller Laureate Katrice Horsley) to town. Highlights include showcases of world storytelling styles like Korean pansori and Urdu dastangoi, and the Asian premiere of Angerona, based on Shakespeare’s Lucretia.

The Locker Room

This 60-seater sports-themed bar features five large HD TVs, a gaming room, sporting memorabilia, and a custom-made wooden “locker” that customers can sit on. CRAFT Bakery & Cafe

On the menu are 3 Inch Sin’s signature chocolate cakes as well as a range of savory recipes like warm mushroom salad ($12), bacon mac n’ cheese ($12.50) and pesto chicken sandwich ($12.50). Plus, there’s Papa Palheta coffee ($3.50 for an espresso).

PAUL (Tanglin Mall)

The branch is a second Singapore store for the brand and features 80 seats. The dining place is offering fresh items such as the éclair vanilla ($6.20), the éclair framboise ($6.90) and the millefeuille mango ($7.30). Plus, there are savories including the tomato mozzarella sandwich ($16.90) and the seafood gratin ($24.90).
