Melting Point – Ocean Wang

Ocean Wang’s first solo exhibition in Singapore features a series of paintings depicting abstract fluid with images of architectural landscapes hidden within. The artworks are designed to create a sense of Singapore flowing through time, society in a constant state of flux, yet with identifiable multi-cultural areas such as Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam. 

Celebrate Monuments – Guided Tours at Sri Thendayuthapani Temple

As part of the Celebrate Monuments! festival, the Preservation of Sites and Monuments (PSM) Division of the National Heritage Board will be organizing tours of Sri Thendayuthapani Temple (15 Tank Rd.) There will be festivities for the month of Thaipusam, talks on the building’s decorative carvings and explanations of the temple’s traditions. Register for a session by emailing [email protected].

Vocalist and songwriter Rufus Wainwright will be playing his greatest hits after the recent release of his studio album Vibrate: The Best of Rufus Wainwright, featuring 18 standout songs. Wainwright has won The Juno Award, had two Best Alternative Albums for Rufus Wainwright and Poses, and was nominated as Songwriter of the Year for his album Release the Stars in 2008.
