Life’s A Beach 2015!
The beach party is back with its eighth instalment. Expect more bikini-clad ladies, Batucada drummers, models with water guns, a beer drinking competition and DJs spinning until the early hours of the mornings. Plus, there’s lots of Champagne, too.

Australian artist Gary Carsley will be showcasing a series of photo adhesive works and projections of gardens and natural landscapes, including the Chinese Scholar Gardens in New York and Kew Gardens in London. Carsley aims to show how nature has been conditioned by human desires.

Well-known for his monumental images of nature, Japanese artist Hiroshi Senju’s solo show here presents new single- and multi-panel paintings of waterfalls, combining both classical Japanese painting techniques and subjects with contemporary elements like UV-reactive fluorescent blue paint. Singapore Wrestling Team Takedown Tournament
The Wrestling Federation of Singapore’s third tournament sees up to 12 teams grapple it out with one another on an Olympic-grade mat. Though the tournament is open to all kinds of styles, there’s a set of basic rules in place, and weight categories apply. Registration costs $120-150 per team. It’s free for spectators.
YMCA Outdoors and Adventure 2015 Showcase
At this open house on its rooftop terrace, YMCA presents its series of upcoming treks and tours to destinations like Mongolia, Lijiang, Nepal and Kuching, which feature outdoorsy activities like rafting, hikes, bike expeditions, caving and horseriding. Refreshments and live music provided.
