The Observatory’s experimental music fest takes place across two days. On Jan 28, experimental quartet Far East Network play improvisational music set to short films by local artist Charles Lim. Then, on Jan 30, renowned Japanese composer Otomo Yoshihide will play with The Playfreely Ensemble, a massive collective of local and international musicians.

A Tree With Too Many Branches

Singaporean artist Ang Song Nian examines the power struggle between people and the environment through a mixed-media exhibition and installation. The star of the show is a site-specific installation of 800 potted plants, and it’s accompanied by photographs of human-created and -controlled landscapes. Opening reception on Jan 24, 6pm.
