Local brunch lovers will have another eatery to check out when famed LA sandwich shop Eggslut opens its doors in Singapore at Scotts Square on Sep 9.
Previously a food truck enterprise, the now notable sandwich chain joins a long list of popular American restaurants which have arrived in Singapore.
So get down to Orchard Road if you’re all about fluffy scrambled egg sandwiches; we recommend you go straight for the signature Fairfax Sandwich ($12)—a delicious ode to the humble egg. With the Fairfax, you’ll be receiving perfectly cooked scrambled eggs stuffed into buttery brioche buns, alongside cheese, sriracha mayo, caramelised onions and chives.
You should also try the glorious Slut ($11), a cage-free coddled egg served atop housemade potato puree and topped with chives. Take your accompanying buttered baguette slices, and dip away.
Of course, these aren’t your only options. You’ll be able to choose eats from the exact same menu as the American outlets, which means the wagyu steak-filled Gaucho ($23), Cheeseburger (from $13.50) and Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwich ($12) are all available at the Scotts Square branch.
Finally, wash those hearty eats down with the signature Eggslut OJ ($5.50), or some tangy craft sodas ($4.50) made in collaboration with Singapore’s leading craft brewery, Brewlander.
