If you’re jetting off these couple of weeks, you might want to check out The Whiskey House located within the DFS Singapore stores at Terminals 2 and 4, and be among the first to get your hands on new arrivals and exclusive whisky labels, as well as learn a thing or two from some of the region’s brand ambassadors.
From now till Jun 30, you’ll get to taste before you buy some of the world’s best, rarest and limited-edition whiskies arriving on our shores for the very first time at the third edition of the annual DFS Whiskey Festival. We’ve got our eyes on the elegantly bottled and small batch Glenfiddich Winter Storm, that’s aged for 21 years before being finished in ice wine casks from Canada, lending the beverage a candied sweetness and oakiness. Once they’re sold out, they’re sold out.
Other new arrivals include the Glenlivet Captain’s Reserve, a rich and intense single malt. And in a world’s first, is Jura The Loch, a peaty whisky matured in American white oak before being finished in old sherry casks. There’s also the Johnnie Walker Blenders’ Batch Sherry Cask, a travel retail exclusive, that’s a sweet and rich blend inspired by the Black Label.
As part of the festival, the brand ambassadors of the various labels will also be holding masterclasses on selected weekends, so check out the schedule and plan around it if you happen to be traveling during this period.
