The Local People are throwing another cool party, this time under a viaduct

Local art market collective, The Local People known to organize hip, cool local street markets, is collaborating with Singapore Land Authority for a Duct Tape Party. Just like their #T8Deck market, which was held in shipping containers, the upcoming one will be held under the West Coast viaduct, giving it a cool, industrial vibe.

As always, creative use of the space is one of the things to look out for in their art markets. This time, they make use of the ceiling of the viaduct to screen movies and visitors can lie on decorated mats and cushion and gaze at the movies. Another thing to look forward to is a public art installation that uses duct tape. You can also expect to see a food truck and booths selling local handmade goods.

You can also do some good while you’re at the market: there’ll be a food donation drive for Food From the Heart, a non-profit organisation that distributes food and toys to the less fortunate. Details are still a little sketchy at the moment, but it’ll take place on Jan 21, from 7pm to 1am.
