The FOC group has extended their Spanish tapas and wine culture to the vibrant Orchard Road. The interiors are somewhat similar to its sister outlet on HongKong street, with its wooden furnishings, humongous figurines, warm lightings and communal tables. Keeping in mind that people in Orchard are always on the go, they have a takeaway counter where you can grab yourself a cuppa, churros, cakes and pastries. They’re still in the midst of building a retail counter but you can expect to see Spanish cuisine staples such as olive oils, cheeses, iberico cold cuts and olive oils.
Their menu focuses on what they’re already known: salads, tapas and paella. You might be spoilt for options but tuck into their signature dishes such as their pork chop and scallop paella ($22) which is cooked on a cast iron pan to make the rice crispier; vegetarian burger ($10), a gooey cheese patty sandwiched between a beetroot bun; roasted suckling pig leg ($80) which comes with confit potato and padron peppers and their classic churros ($4).
FOC take their drinks very seriously. They have an extensive wine list featuring over 130 labels. Pim Pam has also a slew of bottled cocktails which are concocted by FOC’s Group Creative Beverages Director, Dario Knox, including Tommy’s Margarita ($18), a popular variation of this zesty drink created by famed Julio Bermejo, and Sherry Old Fashioned ($21), a rum-based mixture that has a dash of chocolate bitters and sugar.
