There’s a new pop-up restaurant down on Ann Siang Hill, which sees a big-deal collaboration between Bird Bird, known for its trashy-chic decos and Thai-inspired menu (they recently made Frankel Avenue their new home), and Wolf Burgers (yes, the one at Suntec City’s Pasarbella). Bjorn Shen and Sarah Lin have created a special menu for this culinary affair, which will only be around till the end of December.
Located at 18 Ann Siang Road, Wolf On The Hill, as it’s aptly called, is actually Bird Bird’s old home, so you can expect a myriad of familiar dishes and flavors that made you fall in love with them in the first place. On top of that, you can also try out Wolf Burgers’ more elaborate and decadent versions of their usual offerings that use premium toppings like truffled porcini mushrooms, blue and port cheese, among others.
When you’re there, take bite off Bjorn’s Fried Chicken “Wurger” ($16), a doritos crusted fried chicken served on homemade waffles with sweet Thai chilli slaw, coconut sour cream or the Wolf’s Bird Burger ($16), which sees juicy turkey and turkey crackling topped with cranberry jam. Their sides are also devilishly enticing: animal style fries topped with cola pulled pork, spring onions and crispy shallots, served with sriracha mayo ($8) sounds amazing, but so do other items like candied bacon chips ($8) and doritos-crusted bacon warapped mozzarella ($8). With such decadent and sinful fare, it’s only right to wash it down with some alcohol, and you can do just that with their selection of beers, wines and spirits. That, or you could just go for the Horlicks milkshake that’s spiked with Bailey’s and a heady dose of Kahlua ($12.50). Yum.
The Wolf On The Hill pop-up is at the old Bird Bird premises (18 Ann Siang Road). Open Wed-Sun, 5pm (drinks) & 6pm-10pm (dinner).
