Located in the sophisticated setting of the Hotel Chancellor @ Orchard, Zipang opened in late 2016 with its mix of traditional and Japanese-fusion fare. With a name that means “Island of Gold”, the decor at this 80-seater is replete with rose gold-plated steel bars, crimson upholstery, rich velvet curtains and hand-painted gold leaves. The menu features a selection of affordable lunch sets, classic Japanese comfort food with the upscale treatment and touches of fine dining thanks to the chef’s former stint at a Hide Yamamoto restaurant.
