World of Wine just got done in Sentosa few weeks ago, but there’s plenty to look forward to still. Wine & Whisky Week offers a one-stop tasting, shopping, and educational experience. Organized by 1855 The Bottle Shop, the 11-day event will be held from Jul 14-24 at Suntec City Tower, and best of all? It’s free.
The event will feature a diverse selection of more than 500 labels from 15 countries such as France, Italy, Australia, Japan, Germany, China and more. Highlights include the sought-after Grand Cru Bordeaux wines from Pichon Longueville Baron and Montrose and Talbot wineries, boutique wines, and rare whiskies from big-deal Asian distilleries such as Yamazaki, Nikka and Kavalan.
Pamper your tastebuds with tastings and expect to get up close with new-to-the-market wines and whiskies such as The Naked Grouse Blended Scotch and Bottega’s limited edition Prosecco, Bottega Stardust.
If you’re looking for a more interactive experience, join one of the 12 master classes hosted by the featured wineries and brands, held over the two weekends. Among those who will be conducting these master classes are representatives from Champagne Perrier-Jouët (France) and craft whisky specialists, Douglas Laing (Scotland). Classes are $20 each and will be held at Bistro 1855.
