The first full-service luxury hotel in the Snow Mountains region of northwestern Yunnan (a part of the Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture), this mountainside resort is vertiginously located 3,260m above sea level. The 166-room hotel is inspired by the caravan lifestyle of the region and is a blend of Yunnan and Tibetan styles with lots of pine wood, limestone and carvings. There’s an introductory rate of $186 now.

The luxe hotel group now has a slice of paradise in the Philippines. Formerly known as Sol Marina Resort, the property is located in the north west part of Punta Bunga beach—known for its white powdery sand and clear waters. The 333-room hotel features a lagoon pool; several restaurants, including Italian, Japanese and Korean food; a beach club and swim-up pool bars. The property is slated for a December 2015 opening.
