Travel in real style to Bangkok

Sure, flying to Bangkok takes just over two hours but if time is on your side then you might want to consider hopping on board the Eastern & Oriental Express’ newly introduced train route from Singapore to Bangkok.

This is definite a trip for the those who aren’t in any kind of rush, and takes seven days due to a number of stops along the way. These include an overnight stay at the Cameron Highlands where you can tour the famous tour plantation, a pit stop in Penang and an island BBQ on the picturesque island of Koh Chang. Oh and you’ll also get in the mood for the Colonial-inspired grandeur of the journey by spending the first night at the iconic Raffles Hotel.

This isn’t your normal train trip, after all. For starters, it’s on board a super luxe, fully air-conditioned train that offers ensuite accommodation and carries a mere 132 guests. There will be night nightly entertainment in the form of musicians and dancers in the Bar Car and guests can dine on Euro-Asian cuisine at one of their three dining carriages.

The first The Fables of The Peninsula tour is set to leave Singapore on Mar 29, 2015, with prices starting from £4,800 ($9,782) per person including all meals and accomodation for the seven day journey. Find out more on their website
