Since their Joo Chiat eatery is currently undergoing renovation, they’ve set up a pop-up store in the heart of the CBD with quick lunch bites. Focusing on all things sandwiches, there are options like steak and gammon ham on ciabatta bread. You can also grab a quick coffee while you’re here.
Barcode Mixology Tokyo Pop-Up (Nov 4-14)
Famed Japanese bartender Shuzo Nagumo of Tokyo’s Codename Mixology and Mixology Laboratory takes over 2am:dessertbar for this 10-day cocktail affair. Nov 4-8 sees 16 different cocktails that highlight typical Japanese ingredients like cask-matured sake and yuzu, while Nov 11-14 showcases Shuzo’s signatures with kooky ingredients like foie gras and wasabi.
Osteria Art (Nov 8 & 15)
Popular China Square gastrobar &SONS hosts a three-course dinner inspired by traditional Italian osterias. With meats like pancetta smoked in-house, choose from six different starters, mains and desserts. Dishes include chicken liver & autumn truffle crostini; pappardelle with duck ragu and truffle pecorino cheese; and double cream panna cotta with strawberries and Galliano.
La Maison Cointreau x Bitters & Love (Nov 12)
For the second edition of Cointreau’s pop-up cocktail events, they’ve roped in the Bitters & Love team to whip up some cool libations. Behind the stick is head bartender Naz Arjuna, TESS Bar’s Steve Leong and Lucha Loco’s Mohammad Ashur who will take turns to shake up six different cocktails. To lubricate the night even more, there are two special Cointreau shooters, too.
Beaujolais Wine (Nov 20)
O Batignolles plays host to a French tradition where people gather round to merrily drink the first bottlings of a new season’s Beaujolais wine. Sample Vignoble Charmet’s new Beaujolais Nouveau bottlings along with cheeses and cold cuts at this one-night only vino party.
Panem Forever (Nov 26)
If you thought you could survive in a dystopian society like that of Katniss Everdeen’s Panem, then you should book yourself a seat at this dinner. The Hunger Games three course dinner includes dishes like cream of butternut squash soup (Katniss’ fave dish) and chicken thigh with green peas and a creamy orange sauce.
