For all the food lovers out there—get your taste buds ready for a month long feast. Taste Riverina Food Festival is all about celebrating, experiencing and understanding locally produced food. Take part in food treks and wine tours to find out where your food comes from, and learn more about the people who are behind it. Throughout October, the Riverina, located in New South Wales’ south, will be buzzing with a series of food related events including master classes, agricultural tours, recipe competitions and live music.

Orange Wine Festival (Oct 17-Nov 2)
Love wine? Then you’ll want to pencil these dates into your calendar. The festival will showcase the region’s premium wines through events like wine shows, tastings and educational workshops, and will also feature local produce. Don’t miss the Wander Wine and Dine Trails where you’ll get to taste Orange’s finest wines and gourmet food and enjoy live entertainment while making your way through the beautiful city of Orange. Another highlight is the Night Market at Robertson Park which will see over 50 wine and food stalls lining the park accompanied by live entertainment and children’s activities.

Tropfest (Dec 7)
Film lovers won’t want to miss the world’s largest short film festival that will be taking place at Sydney’s gorgeous Centennial Park. It’s an exciting event for both filmmakers and film buffs alike, providing a platform for talented filmmakers to gain international exposure and an opportunity to kick start their careers. Not only is the event attended by a slew of Australian celebrities, previous judges include Nicole Kidman, Elijah Wood, Ewen McGregor and Will Smith. Plus, it also broadcasts live to over 150,000 people.

V8 Supercars Sydney 500 (Dec 5-7)
Calling all gear heads. You’ll want to be at the heart of the action as the streets of Sydney Olympic Park get taken over by the V8 Supercars as part of the annual Sydney 500. Held over three days, the drivers go head to head in their Nissan, Volvo, Ford and Mercedes-Benz cars in bid to clinch top prize at the season’s grand finale. Race goers can expect a vibrant festival atmosphere and children under 14 get free admission with a paying adult.
