Orchard hostel [email protected] will be closed for a S$2 million makeover till July 1, after a decade in the industry.
It won’t be be revamping to be yet another cookie-cutter hostel, though—instead, it’ll be repositioning itself as a wallet-friendly boutique hotel for business travelers looking for fuss-free accommodation. The hotel will still adhere to its “no frills, just fun” slogan; however, there’ll be improved amenities like electronic in-room safes in both private and dormitory rooms, universal power points beside every bed and better wi-fi connectivity—essential for business travelers on the go. Another, there’ll be an e-concierge system that’ll provide guests with access to real-time local info.
Another (very important) plus point—Willin Low’s Wild Rocket will also re-open within the hotel in July, serving up delish mod-Sin cuisine to both locals and visitors alike. Now, that’s definitely way more tempting than the usual subpar hostel grub, we say.
