Musicity Singapore 2014, a global music festival that celebrates local talents and urban design, is back in town—this time, the location-based festival will be held in the hip Tiong Bahru estate from April 25 to May 10.
This year’s edition is also the first-ever Musicity to feature spoken word poetry alongside music, so it’s great news for Singapore’s thriving literary scene. For two weeks, the streets of Tiong Bahru will be buzzing with ten live music and poetry performances by eight artists, including The Sam Willows, Seyra, Marc Nair and Jennifer Champion. Gigs are held at various venues within the neighborhood, including Bincho, The French Bookshop, Tiong Bahru Community Centre, The Fab Lab, as well as TBB Tiong Bahru Bar.
Be sure to download the cool Musicity mobile app, which enables you to stream music when you visit specific locations. Simply type “musicity.info” in your smart phone browser (iOS and Android) to launch the app. Tickets for each gig cost between $20 to $30, and can be purchased via EventNook.
