In the foot of the Yanshan Mountains in Beijing, Yanqi Lake Kempinski Hotel is slated to open its doors to the public in May.
An ambitious project by the European luxury hotel group, the property covers a 14 sq. km area around the scenic Yanqi Lake, surrounded by abundant nature with views of Mutianyu Great Wall and the mountains.
The huge space features 595 rooms and suites, of which 306 are on the main land, 111 are at the State Guest House and 178 are spread across 12 boutique hotels on a private island.
In addition to the plush accommodation, there’s a marina and an 18-hole golf course that was designed by Gary Player, as well as Kempinski The Spa and fitness facilities, while a total of 14 restaurants and bars with a range of Chinese and European cuisine are on offer.
The hotel has been designed with sustainability and ecological values in mind with the use of hydro-electric power, LED lighting and eco-friendly products.
The hotel is not yet taking bookings and room rates have not yet been released, but you can find out more on their website.
