Historic boutique hotels Tugu Bali and Tugu Lombok are offering a Revisit the Heritage package from US$3,563 ($4,423) including four nights at each resort, plus a range of cultural activities.
The package starts with a stay at garden resort Tugu Bali, where you get a dinner and theater experience inspired by the Majapahit kingdom, a mantra spa treatment, plus a tour of Jatiluwih and Batukaru temple (located in a mountain village protected by UNESCO).
Then, move on to beach retreat Tugu Lombok, with a tour of the nearby Gangga Waterfalls, a moonlit picnic on a private beach, a cooking class and traditional market visit, as well as a horse carriage ride around the local paddy fields.
The deal also includes return airport transfers, a welcome massage and drinks, breakfast and high tea. The Tugu Hotels group was founded by Anhar Setjadibrata, who owns one of the largest antique collections in Indonesia. And the Tugu properties are furnished with historic statues, books, stone and bronze pieces salvaged from Peranakan temples by Setjadibrata.
