The Hilton group has just opened its first DoubleTree property in Phuket, a 250-roomer (just 24 kilometers from Phuket International Airport), DoubleTree Resort by Hilton—Surin Beach with rates starting at B3,750 (S$150).
Formerly the Courtyard by Marriott, the rebranded four-story hotel has three food and beverage outlets—Asia Alive (an all-day dining eatery), The Boardwalk (their poolside bar) and retail store, The Food Store—a fitness club and lagoon-style pools.
There are 310 DoubleTree locations worldwide and the brand is well-known for presenting warm chocolate chip cookies to guests as welcome gifts. Hilton has six Thailand properties and plans to launch another, DoubleTree by Hilton, Sukhumvit Bangkok in 2013.
