As part of Osia’s “Cooking with Friends” series, Osia will play host to well-known chef Otto Weibel from October 30 to November 3.
Just for the occasion, they’ll be introducing special lunch and dinner set menus crafted by Weibel. Lunch offerings ($45 for two courses; $55 for three courses) include soft burrata with fresh and semi-dried tomatoes with rocket pesto, and Spencer Gulf wild king prawn ravioli, while the dinner menu ($145/four courses, $160/five courses, $175/six courses; $75 for wine pairing) features highlights such as roasted lamb rack with honey pumpkin mousseline, and roasted Berkshire pork.
There will also be an indulgent six-course wine dinner ($298, includes coffee/tea) featuring Weibel’s creations and Penfolds wines on November 3, with pairings like pan-seared duck liver with caramelized rhubarb and young ginger with a 2008 Penfolds Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as William pear tart with passion fruit espuma alongside Penfolds Grandfather Tawny port.
For those who want to pick up some cooking know-how, then the culinary masterclass ($75) with the man himself on November 2 should be right up your alley. He’ll be walking you through how to cook up dishes like crispy sea bass with horseradish risotto, and tartare of ocean trout with Australian finger limes.
