Just when you thought Tiong Bahru couldn’t get any hipper, this bustling neighborhood now has a brand new arrival in the form of Japanese restaurant IKYU (pronounced e-q).
The 54-seater is helmed by executive chef Takuma Seki, formerly of Marina Bay Sands’ Hide Yamamoto, and shares Yong Siak Street with the likes of Open Door Policy.
Items to expect include starters such as blue fin tuna carpaccio ($25.50), grilled dishes like king crab with soy butter ($38.50) and fried goods such as jumbo shrimp tempura ($16.50).
