In the spirit of sustainability, Island Shangri-La Hong Kong has become the first hotel in Asia to introduce an emission-free electric car, the Nissan LEAF to its fleet of shuttle vehicles.
The Nissan LEAF will operate from 7-10am and 4-7pm, bringing guests from the hotel to various sites around the city including the Star Ferry pier, Airport Express Station and the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre in Wan Chai. The use of the five-seater LEAF, which is the world’s first production electric car, is part of Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong’s drive to raise environmental awareness and contribute to its charity partner Heep Hong Society.
