Sad news for fans of Jil Sander’s collaboration pieces with Japanese high street mammoth Uniqlo under the +J banner. The upcoming Autumn/Winter collection will be the last that we’ll see of Sander’s well made pieces fusing today’s trends with contemporary silhouettes to brilliant effect. Apparently, both parties have decided that they “had fully explored the possibilities of their creative collaboration and accomplished what they had set out to do,” hence Sander’s departure. Guess some of us will have to go back to paying full price for Sander’s main line after this season.
