Rock band Simple Plan is set to bring down the house tonight with an acoustic set at the Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore at 6pm, (sorry, this Music Matters event is open only to media). The band performed last night at Clarke Quay with fellow Canadians These Kids Wear Crowns.
Their upcoming fourth record “Get Your Heart On!” will be out June 21. You may have heard their first single “Jet Lag”, featuring Natasha Bedingfield, which addresses the emotional difficulty of being in a long-distance relationship. The song emits an upbeat and catchy tempo, very much like most of their songs in the new album.
The highly-anticipated “This song saved my life”, also known as the Twitter song, with lyrics crowdsourced from their Twitter followers, is a much more mellow track. Full of true and personal accounts from users, this closer track was the most heartfelt of the album.
Get “Get Your Heart On!” from June 21.
