Roland Restaurant at East Coast’s Marine Parace Central claims to have invented the chili crab, though we cannot confirm that. But we have to say—their chili crab is pretty good. And although it is in an insalubrious HDB carpark block, diners are happy to ignore the bland location for its delicious Chinese seafood. The spacious restaurant accommodates 100 tables, so you’re sure of getting a seat to tuck into its specialties such as Teochew style steamed pomfret and roasted duck with homemade sweet sauce.
