This affordable offshoot of the high-end Au Petit Salut is one good place where you can indulge in quality chow. While the menu features authentic French a la carte dishes, the emphasis at this charmingly laidback bistro is set meals, like the three-course set lunch we had, which came with six choices for each course.
For starters, we had the half dozen baked escargots with cherry tomatoes, which was very good. We enjoyed our main too, the seared onglet beef “Café de Paris.” While it was done more medium instead of the medium rare we requested for, it was perfectly charred on the outside but juicy on the inside, and beautifully flavored as onglet cuts should be. Another main, seafood spaghetti, got our thumbs up for its generous topping. Finally, the choux buns with vanilla ice cream and warm chocolate drizzle was a perfect end to a pleasant meal overall.
