Mark your calendars, because Mister Donut is set to satisfy sweet tooths and doughnut lovers right here in Singapore. Its first store opens on Sunday, May 21, at Junction 8.
Mister Donut is a familiar name in Japan. First opened in 1971, it has grown to be the country’s largest doughnut chain with over 900 stores.
The Singapore store promises the same high-quality doughnuts, made using ingredients from Japan and prepared by staff trained at the Mister Donut Academy in Osaka.
It will offer a vast menu of 20 classic and Singapore-exclusive flavours, all made fresh daily.
Your go-to should be the signature Pon de Ring, a mochi doughnut that comes in a variety of flavours. Look out for the Pon De Ring Chocolate and Strawberry Chocolate that are only available here.
The Old Fashion has more texture and is recommended for those who prefer a doughnut with more bite. Other options such as Strawberry Chocolate, Golden Chocolate, and Coconut Chocolate will satisfy chocolate lovers.
And if you’re a traditional donut fan, the traditional Yeast Donuts come in many flavours, like Honey Dip, Sugar Raised, Chocolate Ring, and even Angel Cream. There is definitely a doughnut for everyone at Mister Donut.
Each doughnut is priced between $2.30 to $2.50, and will also be available for purchase in bundles of half a dozen or 10 doughnuts. To celebrate their grand opening on May 21, there will be limited-edition gifts such as sticker sheets and Mister Donut folders, given out with every purchase for early birds.
Pro tip: Go early to avoid disappointment because doughnuts are produced and sold in limited quantities in order to ensure quality (outlet operating hours will be subjected to items being sold out, which means the store may close earlier).
