Dove’s Hair Therapy range, which includes sulfate-free shampoos and paraben-free conditioners, promises to repair damage from within, nourish deeply, and strengthen hair strands. The Dove Hair Therapy – Breakage Remedy formula has Bio-Cellular Complex technology that has been formulated to help with hair breakage. It offers care at a cellular level which is said to result in 10 times stronger, thicker, healthier hair with less breakage (as compared to a non-conditioning shampoo).

Dove Hair Therapy Breakage Remedy Shampoo ($17.05 for 380ml), and Serum + Conditioner ($17.05 for 230ml) are available at Watsons and Guardian, both in-store and online.

Vaseline’s three Gluta-Hya body lotions share a common ingredient: GlutaGlow, a combination of glutamate (for softening skin), cysteine (for a youthful appearance), and glycine (for hydration).

GlutaGlow is said to be 10 times more powerful than vitamin C when it comes to skin brightening. The technology is superior to topical glutathione application because it supplies the skin with three micro-amino acids that the skin can use as precursors to create its own glutathione from within. According to brand representatives, it is clinically proven radiance by up to 75 percent and fading of dark spots by 30 percent in one week.

Vaseline Gluta-Hya Dewy Radiance ($4.95 for 70ml; $14.55 for 330ml), Gluta-Hya Flawless Bright ($4.95 for 70ml; $14.55 for 330ml), and Gluta-Hya Overnight Radiance Repair ($5.20 for 70ml; $15.35 for 330ml) are available at Watsons and Guardian, both in-store and online.

Clear, already known for its anti-dandruff hair care products, now introduces Folilock technology in both Clear Scalpceutical for Women and Scalp Pro for Men ranges (both of which are yet to be launched in Singapore). Folilock combines the benefits of piroctone olamine (a scalp care ingredient) and zinc salt (a root strengthening ingredient) to strengthen the scalp moisture barrier, reduce excessive hair loss, and stimulate hair growth.

Both ranges also include new serums that feature Dynoxidil, an anti-hairfall active ingredient complex that combines root strengthening zinc salt and yeast peptide extract. It is clinically proven to reduce hair fall within 30 days.

Two newly formulated ingredients, Hexyl-Retinol and Niasorcinol, are found in Pond’s new anti-ageing and brightening products, Age Miracle and Bright Miracle Serums (yet to be launched in Singapore). Hexyl-Retinol works to boost collagen production, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improve elasticity for youthful-looking skin. Niasorcinol is a blend of niacinamide and e-resorcinol which reduces visible blemishes and the severity of underlying spots.
