Greenwood Fish Market (GFM)’s popular World Oyster Festival is back with Singapore’s largest range of oysters from around the world.
Throughout the month of July, enjoy 22 different types of oysters from eight countries – Canada, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Australia, Japan, Portugal and the USA. Some oysters, such as KYS Specials No.3 from France, are exclusive to GFM.
Guests can order a la carte oysters with a minimum order of two pieces per varietal. Can’t decide? Get the 16-piece tasting platter ($109.95++) with eight different chef-selected pairs. Remember to grab a Tasting Journal, a booklet that helps you keep track of the oysters you’ve eaten with tasting notes. Tip: Write down your thoughts immediately after trying, such as meat-to-shell ratio, texture (firm, chewy, soft, etc) and flavour (sweet, sour, umami, etc).
If you like buttery and creamy oysters, try the Golden Mantle from Canada. Prefer something briny and savoury? Get Ireland’s Castle Black No.4, another GFM exclusive that’s new to the lineup. Since this festival happens only once a year, why not go all out and try more premium options such as Belon “OOO”, Tarbouriech Pink Specials No.3, and KYS Super Specials Etoile No.1 from France.
Accompany the oysters with exclusive wines handpicked by the Lee family who have been running the homegrown restaurant since 2003. Their extensive travels and connections have allowed them to bring hard-to-find quality seafood products and wines to our shores.
The 12th World Oyster Festival menu is available for dine-in, takeaways, and online orders, with islandwide delivery and pick-up options available at all GFM outlets.
