It is this concept of “well-ageing” that’s at the heart of skincare brand Swissline by Dermalab. Founded in 1989 in Switzerland, the brand is known for its 360-degree collagen-based formulas, anti-inflammatory solutions and professional treatments. Going beyond visible concerns, Swissline offers a holistic approach to skin health and wellness to further offset the effects of oxidative stress and premature ageing.
It’s no surprise then, to find out Oasia Resort Sentosa’s Oasia Spa has chosen Swissline for its treatments. Oasia Spa is the first spa destination by Far East Hospitality that specialises in facial and grooming treatments, and full-body massages that combine traditional Thai massage, Japanese shiatsu pressure points, and Indian massage techniques.
As the first hotel spa in Singapore to offer the brand, guests can expect to embark on a journey of holistic well-being from the get-go. There are three targeted facial treatments, each tailored for different skin concerns: Swiss Smart (60 minutes, $200++), Swiss Bright (75 minutes, $250++), and Swiss Lifting Infusion (90 minutes, $300++). All combine the power of Swissline’s Cell Shock, Cell Shock Age Intelligence, Cell Shock White, and Force Vitale collections.
Swiss Smart uses Swissline’s signature collection of Age Intelligence Boosters, designed for skin that need instant “de-stress” of any kind. Swiss Bright, as its name suggests, is for skin in need of brightening, pigmentation reduction and seeking evenness. Powerful brightening and de-aging actives treat and prevent skin discolouration for a glowing, radiant complexion. Swiss Lifting Infusion tackles tired skin lacking elasticity and showing signs of ageing.
Guests wanting to escape the hustle and bustle can opt for the spa’s latest day retreat and spa journey. The Swissline Signature Retreat (180 minutes, $450++) is a half-day wellness escapade offering a comprehensive approach to relaxation and rejuvenation for busy go-getters. The body and facial treatments consist of a foot bath, 30-minute Oasia Body Exfoliation; 60-minute Oasia Signature Massage, 90-minute Swiss Lifting Infusion and three-course Wellness Set Meal. The Swiss Bliss Journey (120 minutes, $300++) is a shorter option that combines the Swiss Smart facial with a therapeutic massage of your choice.
After the treatments, guests can retreat to the spa’s meditation lounge, tea lounge, sauna, and remedy corner, complete with healthy refreshments. They can also buy Swissline products at Oasia Spa.
The Swiss Lifting Infusion experience
I tried the facial which is a 90-minute experience that uses Swissline products fortified with marine collagen and hyaluronic acid. Targeted at those with more mature skin, the treatment aims to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, firm and hydrate the skin. The facial started with a cleansing of the face, followed by a lifting massage (with ampoule), exfoliation (no harsh extraction, thank goodness) and mask. I was also given a head, shoulder and hand massage during the session which was much appreciated. The face massage involved firm sweeping strokes which felt a little uncomfortable at times, but as they say, no pain, no gain. It was worth the result in the end – my face was visibly lifted, brighter and smoother after the session. |
