Affordable Art Fair returns this November with workshops, installations and more

Look forward to getting great bargains on artworks once again, as the Affordable Art Fair returns this Nov 22-24 for its 10th instalment in Singapore.

Having originated in London before expanding globally, this year’s art fair will be hosted at the F1 Pit Building, exhibiting artworks by more than 600 local and international artists, from over 80 local and international art galleries.

More than half of the artworks are priced below $7,500 and none of them will be tagged above $15,000. Besides the sale of art pieces, some highlights this year include the #Spotlight Showcase that features new and exciting artists whose works have never been shown before at the fair in Singapore; as well as art installations of various forms and mediums (including life-sized ones), which will be present for visitors to interact with.

And to inspire and encourage fair-goers to better understand and appreciate art, the event will also hold art education programmes with free talks, tours and workshops. On the final day of the art fair, enjoy artist-audience collaborative sculpture-making workshop sessions led by Chinese artist Zhang Yong, that’s coupled with a good cause, at Arty-Licious Evening. A dollar from the sale of every admission ticket will be donated to the Singapore Cancer Society.

Don’t forget to fuel up and take breaks amid all the art browsing during the fair at the Gastro Park, where refreshments can be purchased across all three days.

But before this week ends, pay a quick visit to Ion Art gallery, where Affordable Art Fair and Ion Art’s collaborative Young Talent Programme 2019 feature exhibition is located. There, find interesting art pieces by three talented artists under the Young Talent Programme, which will be showcased till Sep 15, and available for sale. Pick up some fine artworks to jazz up your home now if you just can’t wait till November.

Affordable Art Fair Singapore 2019 will be held at the F1 Pit Building from Nov 22-24. Tickets and more information available here.
