Meet Chinese subversive artist Lin Bo at this immersive theatre experience

Much has been discussed about Chinese performance artist Lin Bo. In particular, an artwork of his which led to his 2012 arrest and a two-year sentence that he served in a Chinese detention facility for being considered a dissident by his home country.

Now, seize the opportunity to meet the infamous artist himself who’s currently on his world tour, at Caught (Sep 10-Oct 6), a socially-immersive theatre experience that challenges the meaning of fact and fiction through Lin Bo’s personal recount.

Inspired by Lin Bo’s life story, Drama Desk Award-winning director Ed Sylvanus Iskandar was commissioned by the Singapore Repertory Theatre to create an evening of performance and art that celebrates Lin Bo, who will finally arrive in Singapore to be a part of the production for the first time, epicly concluding his world tour. The show will also take on a humorous approach in looking at the artist’s life.

While intricate details of the performance have been withheld to avoid spoilers that’ll compromise the entire affair, Caught promises to whisk guests away on an exciting journey. As soon as you arrive at Miaja Gallery, enjoy drinks and mingle with like-minded individuals, all before the show starts. Expect to be in for an unmissable, intriguing and mysterious experience at Caught.
