Over 100 Dale Chihuly artworks will be on display at Gardens by the Bay this May

If you have yet to use your SingapoRediscovers Vouchers which will soon expire, then consider spending them on a visit to Gardens by the Bay this May.

‘Cause happening from May 1-Aug 1 is Dale Chihuly: Glass in Bloom, an exhibition that will display over 100 artworks by the celebrated glass artist at our city’s magnificent nature park near Marina Bay Sands.

Presenting locals with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience an extensive collection of the artist’s pieces, the showcase will include large-scale installations, sculptures and even two-dimensional works.

Marking Chihuly’s first major garden exhibition in Asia, the blown glass exhibits will be shipped directly from Seattle before being installed onsite. Among some of the highlights are the iconic Setting Sun and Moon, as well as the Ethereal White Persians that was first shown at Musee des Arts Decoratifs, Palais du Louvre in Paris during the ‘80s.

There will also be the breathtaking Cloud Forest Persians, a study in scale and translucency which debuted in 2019 at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew, in London; more artworks will be revealed at a later date.

Tickets are already on sale with early bird promotions applicable till Apr 20, so quickly secure your tickets to avoid disappointment. And until May rolls around, perhaps a binge of Netflix’s glassblowing competition television series Blown Away will get you excited about witnessing those glorious works of art in person.
