Italian polymath Leonardo da Vinci is a household name in both the arts and sciences. Now, Singaporeans are invited to step into his world, as the Science Centre Singapore honours the celebrated artist and scientist in its latest showcase, Da Vinci The Exhibition: Be Inspired to Innovate.
A tribute to the renaissance master and his relentless pursuit of knowledge across STEM and art fields, the exhibition will officially open tomorrow (Jun 18) at the museum’s Hall 2.
One of the most comprehensive touring exhibitions on da Vinci, simply travel back in time by viewing more than 50 life-size inventions, 15 fine art studies and dozens of stunning displays created by the inquiring mind of Leonardo da Vinci.
But besides the display of inventions, the exhibition will also provide a hands-on experience which unveils da Vinci’s life, research and art.
Just discover the artist’s designs and extraordinary early concepts on modern inventions including the parachute and scuba suit. There will even be reconstructed replicas of his most renowned paintings such as the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper.
So look forward to tracing da Vinci’s advanced understanding of math, science and nature through 10 themed zones; fun, interactive photo-ops will also be available for guests to be thoroughly entertained.
