Singapore Wrestling Team Takedown Tournament
The Wrestling Federation of Singapore’s third tournament sees up to 12 teams grapple it out with one another on an Olympic-grade mat. Though the tournament is open to all kinds of styles, there’s a set of basic rules in place, and weight categories apply. Registration costs $120-150 per team. It’s free for spectators.

Life’s A Beach 2015!
The beach party is back with its eighth instalment. Expect more bikini-clad ladies, Batucada drummers, models with water guns, a beer drinking competition and DJs spinning until the early hours of the mornings. Plus, there’s lots of Champagne, too.
YMCA Outdoors and Adventure 2015 Showcase
At this open house on its rooftop terrace, YMCA presents its series of upcoming treks and tours to destinations like Mongolia, Lijiang, Nepal and Kuching, which feature outdoorsy activities like rafting, hikes, bike expeditions, caving and horseriding. Refreshments and live music provided.
The Unifiedfield
Homegrown experimental artists Tania De Rozario, Loo Zihan, Zulkifle Mahmod, Bani Haykal and many others showcase live performances, experimental music and video screenings, accompanied by talks and workshops. The pieces were created at The Unifiedfield’s residency program in Spain.
For and Against Nature
Australian artist Gary Carsley will be showcasing a series of photo adhesive works and projections of gardens and natural landscapes, including the Chinese Scholar Gardens in New York and Kew Gardens in London. Carsley aims to show how nature has been conditioned by human desires.

One of the figureheads of the warehouse German club scene, he’s been around for more than two decades with his unique ambient techno sound. This time the DJ-producer of lbales like Eye Q and Cocoon Recordings spins songs like “Sandstorm” and “Hachinoko” from his latest mixtape.
Field Vibes
This Australia Day weekend calls for an outdoor picnic with live music, DJs, a barbecue, beer and a weekend market. There are performers like the Lower East Side (LES) all stars playing reggae, house, disco, funk, motown, soul and the works, as well as DJs like Yadin, Danceman and Andrew M.
Terra Incognita
Local artist Pat Toh really loves walking. In fact, she loves it so much that it inspired her latest performance installation, Terra Incognita. Set to feature at the upcoming M1 Fringe Festival 2015, she looks beyond this very basic act to explore life and loss through the steps taken and the choices made in life.
