FYI! Talk: Shophouses as Shared Forms

This talk by Dr Imran Bin Tajudeen centers on the ubiquitous urban form known as the shophouse, a reminder of Singapore’s heritage and multi-ethnic roots. Part of an ongoing URA exhibition titled “The Singapore Shophouse”, the discussion traces the history of early shophouses at places like the Bugis quarter, allowing for an illuminating glimpse into Singapore’s rich urban history.
