Singapore remains a foodie’s paradise with Michelin Guide Singapore’s latest announcement. A total of 81 food establishments have been recognised with a Bib Gourmand, an award which highlights establishments that serve good food and offer value-for-money gourmet experiences at moderate prices.

There are 11 new establishments, nine of which are brand new additions to the Guide, and two are moved from the Michelin Selected category (a category that indicates above-average food at a good price).

Jalan Sultan Prawn Mee and Ru Ji Kitchen are the two that have moved up the ranks. The former, which has been in operation for over 70 years, serves aromatic dry prawn mee in sambal with heaps of fried scallion and depth, and a soup version with umami-loaded prawn broth. Ru Ji Kitchen sells noodle soup or dry noodles with minced pork, pork balls or fish balls handmade on the spot.
