So another hot pot restaurant has opened in Singapore. But what makes this new place worth visiting is that this is China’s top clear soup individual hot pot chain Chamoon Hot Pot, known for serving nourishing clear soup hot pots served in individual portions.
Established in 2008, Champion Hot Pot has over 30 outlets in major cities in China, including Chengdu, Mianyang, Meishan, Guangyuan, Jiangyou, Xi’an, Jinzhong and Taiyuan. Singapore is its first overseas outpost.
Diners have raved about its healthful soup bases and high-quality ingredients delivered with hospitable service in a refined environment. In Singapore, the 90-seater restaurant offers six soup bases: the signature Truffle Based Matsutake Mushroom, Beauty-Enhancing Papaya Tomato, Singapore-exclusive Mala, True Morel Mushrooms, Bamboo Fungus, and Cordyceps Mushroom. Each option is served as individual portions. (If you want more soup bases, you’ll have to order them separately).
Once you’ve picked your soup, choose your ingredients which range from prime cut meats to fresh seafood and vegetables, all procured from local and regional farms. On the menu are Alaskan King Crabs, Australian Lobsters, Pacific Geoduck Clam, and Hokkaido Iberico Pork. Meat lovers will be glad to see Japanese and Australian Wagyu, Grain-Fed Angus in thick cuts, chuck rolls, ribeyes, short ribs and more. Hot mains are also available such as Matsutake Fried Rice, Matsutake Dumplings and Sri Lankan Crab Baked in Shell.
For larger groups, retreat to one of the four private rooms that seats up to 12 persons (with a minimum spend). Premium Set Menus include multiple soup bases, condiments and sharing platters. They are complemented by tea and fruits to wash it all down.
