Allpress @ 73 Duxton
Singapore’s first Allpress Espresso cafe and retail pop-up store has made its debut at 73 Duxton Road in the charming Tanjong Pagar conservation enclave.
For the next six months, the New Zealand coffee roaster will showcase two signature medium roast blends at the pop-up: the sweet and complex Allpress Espresso Blend with caramel, milk chocolate, and dark fruit notes; and the smooth and mellow Browns Mill Organic with toffee and juicy citrus nuances. Cold coffee in cans – one of its latest products – will also be available for dine-in or takeaway.
To complement the coffee experience, there is a food menu comprising savoury bagels, pastries, cakes and ice cream created by the team behind The Dark Gallery, as well as limited-edition merchandise. Allpress @ 73 Duxton will celebrate its opening with a 1-for-1 promotion for all espresso-based coffees for a week from May 9 to 14.

Binary
For the month of May, indulge in Oscietra caviar at the 45-seater gastro-bar located at Palais Renaissance. The all-day dining promotional set comes with accompaniments and two glasses of an alcoholic beverage. Diners are offered a 30g tin of 8 Gems’ No. 3 Amur Oscietra that is renowned for its buttery flavour and sustainably farmed methods. The caviar is harvested from a hybrid sturgeon and boasts a pearl-grey colour, with a fragrant nutty aftertaste.
Condiments, such as creamy egg mayo and fresh chives, are served on the side with a tray of blinis. The blinis can be replaced with Binary’s crowd favourite – Hong Kong Egglet – for an additional fee. For drinks, choose from Louis Roederer 243 Brut, house white, house red, or vodka martinis, or cocktails.

Hendrick’s Wildflower Garden
Hendrick’s Gin invites all “busy bees and social butterflies to stop and smell the flowers” to the Hendrick’s Wildflower Garden at Caffe Fernet from Apr 25 to Jun 25. Overlooking Singapore’s Marina Bay skyline, the two-month pop-up and thriving floral sanctuary presents a selection of Hendrick’s Flora Adora cocktails and pairing dishes. Henderick’s Flora Adora takes the gin into a fresh and floral dimension with an aromatic balance of lush green and sweet floral botanicals.
The menu features Hendrick’s Flora Adora presented in three distinct styles of drinks: the aperitivo- inspired Hummingbird made with classic Italian bitters; the fruity and velvety-smooth Butterflies & Bees that takes inspiration from the classic Gin Sour; and the refreshing Blossom which presents a fruity, layered riff off the classic Spritz.

Spectre
Ghostwriter, an incubator space for Singapore’s F&B entrepreneurs, welcomes its latest resident, Spectre, throughout May. Spectre is a vintage apothecary pop-up by MasterChef Singapore finalist and performing artist Inch Chua and bar consultant and Beam Suntory Regional brand ambassador Andrew Pan.
Embodying “kintsugi”, the art of repair and celebration of imperfection and growth, the pop-up offers Southeast Asian bites and drinks that are rooted in mental wellness. Drop by for a peek of their menu before they open in a permanent space in Tanjong Pagar in the second half of the year.
Guests can choose between a la carte offerings or a tasting menu featuring eight of Spectre’s top dishes and an optional cocktail trio pairing. Highlights include small and sharing plates such as Mackerel Kinilaw (with coconut vinegar and coconut milk); Eurasian Feng (pork shoulder and dry curry); Prat Dogs (Kurobuta pork sausages with curry yogurt and lettuce slaw) and Osso Buco Kueh Pai Tee (with bone marrow and candlenut oxtail marmalade).
Signature cocktails will complement the dishes, as well as thoughtfully created no- and low-ABV drinks.
With space for 10 to 15 guests, reservations are highly recommended. Visit www.lowtide.sg/ghostwriter.
