There are now more reasons to visit Earle Swensen’s, a more upscale version of the Swensen’s restaurant chain that has been serving halal-certified local favourites and cult dishes for decades.

The latest outlet at the newly opened Pasir Ris Mall offers an elevated experience with charcoal-grilled specialties. The premium steaks are available in six different cuts, including the Chuck Eye Roll ($36 for 200g), a new cut known for its rich and beefy flavour and a tenderness almost on par with the ribeye. For an even bolder flavour, there is the Dry-Aged Chuck Eye Roll ($38 for 200g). Both are served with sliced shallots, wholegrain mustard and two sides (baked beans, caramelised onions, golden fries); or top up for artisanal sides (truffle mashed potatoes, creamy spinach, sauteed mushrooms, or baked potato.

There are always the classics ($35 for 200g): Sirloin, Ribeye, Tenderloin, or turn up the heat with the French-inspired Steak Au Poivre (200g, $35). The steaks are then topped with a choice of handcrafted compound butter: Dijon Mustard, Onion Balsamic, and Roasted Pepper. Charcoal-seared Lamb Chops ($35 for 450g) and Charcoal Grilled Chicken with Creamy Tomato ($20) are other meaty alternatives.

Exclusive dishes at the Paris Ris outlet include the new range of Butter Burgs ($21) featuring the restaurant’s trio of compound butter; and Signature Dry-Aged Beef Burger ($24). Also new on the menu are All-day Breakfast Savoury Croffles (a hybrid of a flaky croissant and waffle), dessert croffles ($10), and The Earle Pesto ($17), meat-free linguine tossed in sweet basil, garlic, parsley and topped with sauteed mushrooms.

All the newness doesn’t mean old favourites are cast aside. The well-loved all-you- can-eat salad bar and milkshakes are available for a familiar, comforting experience at the restaurant.
