East Coast Commune celebrates 2 years with new hours and menu items

In the urban wonderland that is our beautiful island-city, there’re not many spots that offer us an oasis-like retreat surrounded by the idyllic backdrop of nature and the quiet breeze of sub-urban chill. Tucked within Marine Cove – along our coastal East Coast Park – is East Coast Commune, a picture-perfect space that opened during the height of a global pandemic, designed to build a community brought together by genuine human connection.

Turning 2 recently, the café is celebrating their 2nd anniversary with new menu items, dinner service on weekends, and exclusive anniversary picnic sets to enjoy with your loved ones.

At East Coast Commune, their thoughtfully aesthetic space evokes feelings of calm and relaxation from the moment you enter – picture a sense of gentle warmth washing over you. The kid-friendly café boasts a spacious environment complete with Scandinavian furnishing, teal feature walls, a play area with open-ended toys, and even a private nursing room!

But this isn’t any other kid-friendly destination though: Their scrumptious menu presents a gratifying range of bites that tap on both Western signatures and Asian flavours – they even have delicious options for vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free diets.

Working with the award-winning Chef Sujatha Asokan, East Coast Commune’s comprehensive menu includes highlights such as their signature Brekkie, Tiramisu French Toast, and Chicken and Sourdough Waffle for brunch.

For lunch and all-day dining options, go for their Crispy Snapper, Crab Dashi Linguine, or simply enjoy their Sourdough Waffles with ice cream or chocolate praline. Looking for plant-based options? Give the flavourful Tom Yam TINDLE Burger a go.

Exclusively till the end of Nov, grab their Anniversary Picnic Sets – that come with a picnic mat and disposable cutleries for a fuss-free day out – to enjoy special gifts such as East Coast Commune coasters, a SoL takeaway cup, and a slice of cake from their boulangerie.
