Iftar is the time when Muslims break their fast with their families and friends during the holy month of Ramadan. In Singapore, Muslims will mark the start of Ramadan on Mar 12. Each of the restaurants below offers a feast to share with loved ones, including all-you-can-eat buffets, hotpots, traditional dishes and authentic halal dishes from other cultures.

The halal-certified Atrium Restaurant at the Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium serves up a nostalgic Kampong Ramadan Feast from Mar 11 to Apr 10. Taking you back to a time gone by are dishes such as Oxtail Soup, Terong Sambal Belado, Lemak Siput Sedut, Stir-Fried Sotong With Green Chilli Sambal, Ayam Masak Merah Kerisik, Paru Belado, Cucur Udang, Kuih Bahulu, Bingka Serikaya, Goreng Pisang, and more.

There will also be a Ramadan barbecue with grilled lamb chops, honey chicken wings, sambal squid, and honey chicken wings. On weeknights, roast leg of lamb and ribeye will be available, while the whole lamb will be offered on weekends. The Atrium buffet also presents salmon sashimi, Australian black mussels, baby abalone, baby rock lobster, and Irish oysters on weekends. 

From 5.30pm to 9.30pm (last order at 9pm), adults pay $118++ ($30++ per child aged 6 to 12) Monday through Thursday. Adults pay $128++ ($30++ per child) Friday through Sunday. 

Special promotions abound during the feast. Enjoy 1-for-1 deals for adults, while kids aged five and below dine for free with every paying adult. Spin the wheel for a nostalgic ’90s game such as chapteh, five stones, or pick-up sticks with every receipt. Members of IHG One Rewards receive an extra spin per receipt. Ginger at Parkroyal on Beach Road collaborates for the first time with Nasi Kandar Jamal Mohamed from Penang, Malaysia. Together they present Flavours of Curry & Tradition: A Nasi Kandar Affair from Mar 11 to Apr 9, 6pm to 10pm (last order at 9.30pm). 

Nasi Kandar Jamal Mohamed has been a Penang supper spot since 1988. The all-you-can-eat spread includes Nasi Minyak that is perfect with any or all of such dishes as Ayam Goreng Bawang, Daging Masak Kicap, Kambing Shank, Sambal Crab, and Mamak Style Baby Lobster. From Mar 1 to Apr 9, The Buffet Restaurant offers a Halal Chinese-Style Hotpot Dinner Buffet that includes a complimentary Premium Sliced Beef Platter. Choose from a variety of nutritious broths, including the signature Supreme Collagen Rich Broth or the new Turmeric Kampung Chicken Broth. 

New head chef Nazrin has also introduced signature dishes such as Oxtail Assam Pedas, Bubur Lumbuk, and Ayam Kari Kelapa Goreng based on a family recipe. The live station offers Mutton Ribs Gule with Toasted Roti and Slipper Lobster Petai on Fridays and Saturdays. 

The sweets section tempts with creamy Musang King Durian Cream PuffsBubur Chacha, Kueh Lapis, and Crispy Banana Fritters which are freshly fried with coconut or pandan ice cream (available exclusively on Fridays and Saturdays).

Dig in to an all-you-can-eat Thai A La Carte Buffet at Siam Kitchen’s two outlets in Safra Toa Payoh and HomeTeam NS Khatib. Break your fast with starters such as Chicken Satay and Minced Chicken Salad. Then order the Red or Clear Seafood Tom Yum Soup, Kangkong Garlic and Long Bean Sambal, Pineapple Fried Rice with Egg and Thai Boat Noodles. 

The Premium A La Carte Buffet includes Whole Sea Bass with sweet and sour sauce, sambal or chilli lime dressing and Grilled Stingray in sambal sauce. This Halal Hotpot Dinner Buffet is ideal for a large iftar family gathering. Among the soup base options are Oriental Healthy Tomato, Nourishing Chicken Collagen, Singapore Lemak Laksa, and Sawadee Tom Yum Goong. Choose from over 40 ingredients, such as sliced beef, chicken, home-made fish paste, and mushrooms.
