These delicious Mother’s Day cakes are a great way to show your love to the most important women in your life. Caution: choosing won’t be easy.

BreadTalk offers the Love Beyond Words collection that also includes buns and other baked goods. Lovely in Yam ($45.80) entices with yam mousse and silky-smooth pudding sandwiched between yam chiffon. The ethereal garden-inspired Blooming Love ($45.80) combines layers of fluffy vanilla chiffon with sweet raspberry lychee coulis and decadent raspberry mousse in pink icing.

Cat & The Fiddle
Premium cheesecake retailer Cat & the Fiddle has created Mango Passionfruit ($55.90) and Durian Chocolate ($58.90) Cheesecakes for Mother’s Day. The former is made with white Chantilly cream, mango glaze, and white chocolate leaves layered with mango passionfruit cheese mousse. The latter combines dark chocolate mousse and a pillowy dark chocolate sponge topped with dried osmanthus flowers. Perfect for a queen.
For pre-orders before May 5, receive a 10 percent early bird discount. The halal-certified cakes are accompanied by a limited-edition Mother’s Day cake topper. They will also be available for Father’s Day (Jun 16).
Fanntasy
A big chocolate fan, local celebrity Fann Wong unveils two chocolate cakes on her online dessert shop, Fanntasy. Served with luscious triple chocolate cream cheese, the rich Triple Chocolate Cheesecake ($68) boasts a crunchy chocolate crumble base. Its Chantilly cream crown is made of white and milk chocolate. Fann’s Flourless Dark Chocolate Bliss ($75) features layers of luxurious dark chocolate cremeux, tangy raspberry confit, and pistachio puree, all topped with milk chocolate ganache.

Luna Patisserie
Luna Patisserie will win hearts with the Pink Velvet cake ($98) made strawberry sponge layered with velvety yam custard, melon seeds and a thin veil of strawberry gel coated in smooth white glace. It is crowned with handmade white chocolate petals delicately put together to form a flower.

Old Seng Choong
Old Seng Choong presents two limited-edition cakes for the occasion: Korean Style Strawberry Shortcake ($58.80) and Premium Mao Shan Wang Durian Cake ($68.80). The shortcake is made with light and airy Japanese sponge, layered with vanilla mascarpone cream, and topped with Korean strawberries. Each layer of the second cake is filled with pure Mao Shan Wang durian paste, complemented by light vanilla mascarpone cream. (Note: This has edible flowers with pollen that may cause allergies.)

Treat Mum to Paul’s macaron garden cake offerings ($80 each) where each creation is crowned with all-natural assortment of colourful mini macarons made in France. Gateau Trio features fresh berries with light pistachio joconde sponge, strawberry jelly, mango bavarois, pistachio praline, and chocolate mousse, while Fraisier has genoise sponge, mousseline cream, fresh strawberries and marzipan.
