Yuzu Rosu Katsu from Tonkatsu ENbiton

Choosing where to eat is a joyful task. Here are three places worth checking out, two with new beef items and one that serves yuzu pork – a city first.

Meadesmoore

, Meat me here: 3 restaurants with hearty menus to satisfy all carnivores

When Meadesmoore steakhouse opened last year, news spread quickly about its uncommon cuts from award-winning producers, such as 2GR in Australia and Idaho’s Snake River Farms. The new Meadesmoore Cut MS 8/9 ($200), an exclusive from 2GR, consists of three distinct marbling types: a tender underblade with sweet beefy notes; buttery ribeye; and the super beefy loin. Heavenly with fleur de sel.

Meadesmoore is at 21A Boon Tat Street, Singapore 069620.

Bedrock Bar & Grill

, Meat me here: 3 restaurants with hearty menus to satisfy all carnivores

The 2023 World Meat Series returns to Bedrock Bar & Grill. From May 17 to Aug 16, enjoy Tajima Olive Fed Black Wagyu from Umami Olive Fed Wagyu ranch in Texas. It’s said to be exceptionally tender and flavoursome, developed from the cattle’s unique feed. The olive feed increases the nutritional profile of the meat with healthier fats while giving it a rich, buttery olive flavour.

The 5-Course Dinner Tasting Menu includes Smoked Beef Carpaccio; Slow-Cooked Beef Fingers Rib; Grilled Marinated Skirt; and New York Sirloin Steak. Top up $68++ per person for a glass of wine and four-wine pairing from May 18

Bedrock Bar & Grill is at #01-05 Pan Pacific Serviced Suites, Singapore 238163.

Tonkatsu ENbiton

, Meat me here: 3 restaurants with hearty menus to satisfy all carnivores

Tonkatsu ENbiton is Singapore’s first 46-seater Japanese yuzu pork tonkatsu restaurant. Yuzu pork refers to pigs fed with local yuzu from Kagoshima, Japan (it does not mean it’s prepared with yuzu juice). The meat is juicier and flavourful, thanks to higher amounts of vitamin C and fat with a higher melting point. Tonkatsu comes in two cuts – rosu (a richer cut of pork loin with fat) and hire (lean pork fillet) – and is served as a complete meal with Japanese rice, cabbage and arugula dressed with ponzu or goma sauce, pickles, and miso soup. From now to May 19, pay $15++ (UP $22++) for the signature Yuzu Rosu Katsu set.

Tonkatsu ENbiton is at #B2-27/27A VivoCity, Singapore 098585.
